China – a giant with more to offer.

In 2010 China surpassed Japan and became the world’s second largest economy after the United States. Eight years have passed, and with continued stable growth, China is well on its way to becoming the world’s largest economy. GDP is projected to grow by seven percent annually in the next few years. Although this is a lower growth rate compared to the first decade of the twentieth century, the growth rate is still impressive. China has also begun a journey towards becoming a mature economy with a calmer but more durable expansion phase. The economy has shifted its focus from manufacturing and investment to a focus on domestic consumption and a growing service sector linked to development and manufacturing sector of high-tech solutions. With a continually growing middle class and a GDP per capita which is at low levels compared to the western world, there is still much room for continued growth. All the shares Simplicity China invests in are related to companies whose main business operations are in China. The shares are primarily listed on the stock exchanges in Hong Kong, as well as in Shanghai and Shenzhen.
