Simplicity Nya Europa
A previously divided Europe is getting together. Many countries
in Europe are undergoing major political and economic improvements.
Simplicity Nya Europa is the fund which brings together all the
emerging markets in the "new Europe". The fund was launched in the
autumn of 2005.
Opportunities in the New Europe
The potential for growth is large in the eastern parts of
Europe and in countries which have recently become EU-members, or
which aspire for membership. The cost for labour is usually low,
while the educational level is high, which means good quality and
profitability for companies operating in the region. Also the
adaptation to EU is supposed to lead to an increased flow of goods
and services to these regions. Many companies therefore need to be
restructured to meet the greater demand, which is resulting in more
job opportunities and an increased turnover.
About the Fund
The fund currently has its largest holdings
in Russia, Turkey and Poland but also has holdings
in the Czech Republic and Hungary. Our model also monitor
shares listed in Austria, Kazakhstan, Romania, Greece, Cyprus,
Croatia and Ukraine and the fund may make investments here in the
future. The investments are made, like Simplicity's other
equity funds, strictly according to our proprietary SimplicityTM
investment model, which selects the best performing shares on the
basis of quantitative analysis.
